IJEN PLATEAU
3 km from Kawah Ijen gate is Ijen plateau, is part of a national reserve that stretches northeast to Baluran national park, which was at one time a huge active crater, the large 124 square km. Today it is a quiet but active volcano’s and the landscape is dominated by volcanic cones of Mount Ijen(2368 m) and Mount Merapi(2800 m)on the northeastern edge of the plateau and Mount Raung(3332 m) on the southwestern corner, the coffee plantation cover much of the western area of the plateau alongside of lush forest there are few settlements. The plateau has a few numbers of difficult accesses to reach natural attractions.
